• Two TR Stations

• The combination of a TR Station with a ATC Station

For the configuration with two ATC Stations see the note

Exceptional Circumstances

.

After completing the steps to assign the addresses to the two ATC Stations, keep in mind the
following points have to be known. The slots in the two ATC Stations will be identically
numbered from 1 - 3. The Address of the ATC Station will enable the system to distinguish
between these slots.

For example:

ATC Station1; Slot1 | ATC Station2; Slot1.

• Following the

Service Wizard

, the second point after Teach Tool Station is the item

Set

Reference Point

. It is advisable, but not mandatory, to set the reference point at ATC

Station #1. It is more likely that the second ATC Station will be removed in the future,
and not the first one. Removing the ATC Station to which the Reference Point has been
assigned would result in elimination of the Reference Point for the system.

• When the wizard for

Teach Tool Station

is started, the software will check if the tool

(coupled in the TriPlus RSH head) is parked in the expected position.
In case the two ATC Stations are mixed up, an error message appears. In such a case verify
the identify of the ATC Station, the slot position, or both.

Wizard Teach Tool Station

The wizard procedure is identical for teaching a TR Station or an ATC Station. The difference
is the number of slots to teach.

CAUTION

Exceptional Circumstances

To configure two ATC Stations follow the procedure described here:

1. Physically connect both ATC Stations at the desired position of the X-Axis.

2. Define which ATC Station shall be the

ATC Station #1

.

3. When the TriPlus RSH is powered off, connect the supplied control cable from the

rear side of ATC Station #1 to the connector marked Bus on the TriPlus RSH control
interface. If Bus connector is already occupied, connect the cable to another Active
module with an open connector.

4. DO NOT connect the control cable from

ATC Station #2

.

5. Power-up the system. The software will assign the module address to

ATC station1

.

6. Turn off the system and connect the provided control cable to

ATC Station #2

.

7. Power-up the system again, the software will recognize the second ATC Station and

will assign the address to

ATC Station2

.
