Managing Data, Settings, and Pictures
Printing Screen Shots
The instrument acquisition memory limit is 1 GB (1.024 Gigabytes). Because of the way acquisition
data is processed, 1 GB of acquisition memory requires 2 GB of memory to store. When header
information (instrument settings) is added to the acquisition data, the resulting
fi
le size is >2 GB.
If acquisition memory is
fi
lled (1 GB), exporting the data to MATLAB format will result in a
fi
le that
is too big for MATLAB to process. To check how much acquisition memory is
fi
lled, select Setup >
Acquire > Sampling Parameters. When the instrument is stopped, or you are analyzing a recalled data
fi
le, you can
fi
nd the acquisition length under File > Acquisition Data Info.
Printing Screen Shots
You can print shots (screen captures) two ways: use File > Print or save a picture
fi
le and print the
fi
le
using a separate graphics program. Printing a screen capture is the same as printing with any windows
program. For details on the available
fi
le formats for saving a screen capture, refer to
Picture File Formats (see page 335)
. For details on saving a picture to a
fi
le, see
Data, Settings, and Pictures (see page 333)
To print a screen from the instrument:
1.
Select
File
>
.
2.
Select
File
>
Print Preview
if you wish to review the screen shot before sending it to the printer.
3.
Select
File
>
to print the
fi
le to a printer.
