Managing Data, Settings, and Pictures Saving and Recalling Data, Settings, and Pictures
1. Select Save As. . . from the File menu to open the Save As dialog box.
2. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the setups, or use the default location.
To save setups so that they appear in the Application Presets window, save your setup in the
folder C:\RSA6100A Files\Application Presets . The saved setup will appear in the Application
Presets window with the name you give the fi le.
3. Enter a fi le name.
4. Select the type of fi le to save from the Save as type drop-down list.
5. Click Save .
Saving Data with FastSave
To save data using FastSave, use the procedure Preparing for a FastSave Acquisition .
Recalling Files
You can recall three types of fi les: Setup fi les, Selected Trace, and Acquisition data with setup. Recalling
data follows the same procedure regardless of the type of data being recalled.
1. Select Recall. . . from the File menu to open the Open dialog box.
2. Navigate to the folder containing the fi le you want to recall.
3. Select the type of fi le to recall from the Files of type drop-down list. This selection determines the
fi les that appear in the Open dialog box.
4. Select the fi le to recall.
5. Click Open .

Setup Files
You can set up the instrument as desired and then save the settings in a setup fi le. This enables you to
quickly setup the instrument by recalling previously saved setups.
Exporting Results
Save for further analysis of results in other programs, such as MATLAB or Excel.
Pictures of the Selected Display
You can save pictures of the instrument display for documentation purposes. When saving pictures of
the display, you can select from three
fi le types: BMP, JPG, or PNG.
