Check radiator fan control relay No.1
1) Check radiator fan control relay No.1, referring to
“Radiator Fan Relay No.1, No.2 and No.3 Inspection in
Section 1C in related manual”.
Is result in good condition?
“BRN” wire open circuit. Replace relay.
6
Check radiator fan control No.1
1) Connect connectors to ECM with ignition switch turned
OFF.
2) Run engine at ECT is over 97
°
C, 207
°
F.
3) Measure voltage between vehicle body ground and
“G04-18” terminal wire.
Is voltage lower 1.5 V?
Go to Step 7.
Faulty ECM.
7
Check radiator fan control
1) Disconnect radiator fan control relay No.2 (2), and No.3
(3) from relay box with ignition switch turned OFF.
2) Run engine at ECT is over 97
°
C, 207
°
F.
3) Measure voltage between vehicle body ground and each
“BLU/RED” wire terminal.
1. Radiator fan relay No.1
Is voltage lower 10 – 14 V?
Go to Step 8.
“BLU/RED” wire open
circuit.

Check wire circuit
1) Disconnect connector from ECM with ignition switch
turned OFF.
2) Connect radiator fan control relay No.2 to relay box.
3) Turn ON ignition switch, measure voltage between
vehicle body ground and “G04-3” terminal wire.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
Go to Step 9.
Go to Step 10.
9
Check wire circuit
1) Disconnect radiator fan control relay No.2 and then
connect radiator fan relay No.3 to relay box.
2) Turn ON ignition switch, measure voltage between
vehicle body ground and “G04-3” terminal wire.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
Go to Step 13.
Go to Step 10.
10
Check wire circuit
1) Disconnect radiator fan control relay No.2 and No.3 from
relay box.
2) Measure resistance between “G04-3” terminal wire and
vehicle body ground.
Is resistance infinity?
