REMOVAL
• Remove the mufflers and muffler chamber. (
6-12)
• Support the motorcycle with a jack to relieve load on the rear
shock absorber.
• Remove the muffler chamber brackets
.
• Remove the rear shock absorber upper and lower mounting
bolts and nuts.
• Take out the rear shock absorber.
INSPECTION
Inspect the shock absorber body and bushing for damage and
oil leakage.
If any defects are found, replace the shock absorber with a new
one.
Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock absorber
unit. It is unserviceable.
