STARTER CLUTCH
• Install the washer .
• Install the starter clutch assembly onto the crankshaft.
NOTE:
When installing the starter clutch assembly, align the wide spline
teeth

• Install the starter clutch bolt with the washer.
• Hold the starter clutch with the special tool and tighten its bolt
to the specified torque.

Starter clutch bolt: 55 N·m (5.5 kgf-m, 40.0 lb-ft)
STARTER IDLE GEAR
• Install the starter idle gear No.2 , shaft and spring
washer .
• Apply bond lightly to the mating surfaces

at the parting line
between the upper and middle crankcases and surface of
grommet

as shown.

99000-31140: SUZUKI BOND “1207B” or equivalent
• Install a new gasket and dowel pins.
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
