6.2.2 Weekly Cleaning

Before servicing or cleaning
the unit, always turn LOCK/
UNLOCK/INIT key selector to
LOCK position to de-energize
unit. Keep the key on your-
self.

HAZARD: To avoid slippery
floor conditions, immedi-
ately wipe up any spilled
liquids or condensation.
CAUTION – POSSIBLE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE: Use
non-abrasive cleaners when
cleaning unit. Follow direc-
tions on containers and rub
in a back-and-forth motion,
in same direction as sur-
face grain. Abrasive clean-
ers will damage stainless
steel. Cleaners rubbed in a
circular motion or applied
with a wire brush or steel
wool on door and chamber
assemblies can be harmful
to stainless steel. Do not
use these cleaners on
painted surfaces.
1.
After last cycle of the day, allow unit to cool down.
2.
On load side of washer, turn LOCK/UNLOCK/INIT key selector to LOCK
position. Remove the key from the selector and keep on yourself. Red light
starts flashing. Display shows:
WASHER LOCK
... and printer prints:
----------------------------------------------------
WASHER LOCK
HH:MM:SS
YY/MM/DD
----------------------------------------------------

Clean washer exterior and door panels as outlined below. Using Amscrub
TM
Multipurpose Cleaner (NM400)* for general stains, Pry
®
Stain Remover
Cream (NM430)*, and Stainless-Steel Cleaner to keep equipment looking
like new.

Using a damp cloth or sponge, apply cleaner in a back-and-forth motion,
rubbing in same direction as surface grain.
5.
Thoroughly wipe off cleaner.
6.
Polish surface with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
7.
Clean door windows, with a general window cleaning product.
8.
Dry window with a lint-free cloth.
9.
Using the key, turn LOCK/UNLOCK/INIT to UNLOCK position. Remove the
key from selector and keep on yourself. Red light stops flashing and
display shows:
RODENTS
BOTTLES
RABBITS
PRIMATES
__ indicates flashing position.
10. When indicator light turns green, press
DOOR OPEN
touch pad to open
load side doors.
