Before using the terminal

Press and hold the power key until
the terminal vibrates.

The lock screen appears after a while.

When you first turn on the power and

(Welcome)" is displayed,
follow the onscreen instructions to
make the initial settings (P.48).

Unlock the screen lock.

When PIN code (P.52) is set, enter the PIN code on the
PIN code entry screen (P.52).

volume up key at the same time.

To restart the terminal, tap [Restart].
Set sleep mode to turn off the screen so that
you can avoid unintended operations of the
display (touch screen) or the keys, or lock the
screen.

Press the power key again to exit from
sleep mode and turn on the screen.

When the specified time set in "Screen timeout"
(P.205) elapses with no operation performed, the
screen will turn off automatically and then go into
sleep mode.

Depending on the settings or operating condition,
Ambient display (P.207) may activate in sleep mode.
