•
With a counter request command (ASDU type 101) with the following set request criterion:
−
RQT (Request) = 5 (general counter request)
−
FRZ (Freeze) = 3 (reset)
•
Transmission of the
Reset Energy Values
command with the value
ON
using ASDU type 45
Counter ticks determined since the last cyclic, spontaneous transmission of energy counters until their reset
get lost. The values of the next cyclic, spontaneous transmission of energy counters then include the counter
ticks that are counted from the reset command until the cyclic, spontaneous counter transmission time.
During this time, no additional spontaneous transmission of energy counters takes place, not even directly after
the energy counters reset. Reading the energy counters using the counter request is always possible (with FRZ
= 0 = Read without freeze or reset).
Conversion Factor between Counter Ticks and Energy Values
A conversion factor is used to convert counter ticks to energy values with a unit (Wh, for example). You can
view this factor on the
Maintenance
tab,
Counters
input/output window
, Pulse quantity
column (see
chapter 7.5.3.1). Since only metered values and no energy values are transmitted during communication, you
must set this conversion factor at the IEC 60870-5-104 master.
