SICAM MMU 7KG9663, Device Manual
E50417-H1040-C514-A3, Edition 01.2016
Data Exchange between Modbus TCP Master and SICAM MMU
Modbus TCP
must be selected as bus protocol in both equipment.
The Modbus TCP master can access indications in the SICAM MMU and change controllable indications (see
tables in the following chapters). The following indications are important for reading and writing from/to the
SICAM MMU:
Indication x from remote
(in the SICAM MMU): Can be controlled by the Modbus TCP master and is trans-
mitted to the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 if
Source for output x
is parameterized for the subdevice.
Binary input x from I/O Unit
:
The values read at the binary inputs of the SICAM I/O Unit
7XV5673 are automatically assigned to indications that the
Modbus TCP master can read.
Data Exchange between SICAM MMU and SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673
I/O Mirror server
must be select in the SICAM I/O Unit as operating mode.
SICAM MMU can access indications of the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 via Modbus UDP and change controllable
indications. The following indications are important for reading and writing from/to the SICAM I/O Unit
7XV5673:
Indication x from remote
(in the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673):Can be controlled by the SICAM MMU. The indi-
cation
Source for output x
, which was configured from the
SICAM MMU for the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673, is transmitted
as
Indication x from remote
to the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673
(x = 1 through 6).
The
Indication x from remote
indications are forwarded to
the binary outputs of the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673.
Binary input x I/O Unit
:
The values at the binary inputs are directly read by the
SICAM MMU and automatically assigned to the
Binary input
x I/O Unit
indications.
Updating the Cycle Time
The updating cycle is approximately 20 ms. The updating cycle includes:
•
Reading the binary inputs of the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 and creating a process image in the
SICAM MMU
•
Updating the binary outputs of the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 from the process image of the SICAM MMU
