Setting Up Your System
Office PhoneMail will prompt you to choose which of three parameters you wish
to set, as follows:

Parameter 1 specifies the human attendant’s actual extension.
●
Parameter 2 specifies the extension to which callers will be transferred upon
pressing 0 or 9 (depending on the country code you have set for your sys-
tem).
●
Parameter 3 specifies the extension Office PhoneMail will notify (via the Mes-
sage Waiting Indicator light) of any new message arrival in the General De-
livery Mailbox.

To set the human attendant’s extension:

Office PhoneMail will prompt you to enter the new extension number.

Enter the human attendant’s extension by pressing the appropriate keys on your tele-
phone keypad.
Office PhoneMail will request confirmation of the extension number you have en-
tered.

To accept the extension number, press

To cancel and re-enter the extension number, press

Office PhoneMail will confirm your new setting and return you to the Set Attendant
Parameters menu.

To set the “0” or “9” transfer extension:

Next, to set the extension number callers will be transferred to after pressing 0 or 9 (as
per your system’s country code), select Parameter 2 by pressing
.
Office PhoneMail will prompt you to enter the new transfer extension number.

Enter the attendant transfer extension by pressing the appropriate keys on your tele-
phone keypad.
Office PhoneMail will request confirmation of the extension number you have en-
tered.

To accept the transfer extension number, press

To cancel and re-enter the transfer extension number, press

Office PhoneMail will confirm your new setting and return you to the Set Attendant
Parameters menu.
