Shutting Down the System
Any time you plan to remove power from the system, use Office PhoneMail’s shutdown proce-
dure. This option immediately disables all idle voice mail ports and gives busy ports three min-
utes to finish before terminating all calls and disabling those ports from service. The system
then recalculates and reports the available storage and finally prompts you to cancel or proceed
with the shutdown.
For instructions on shutting down the system for upgrading, refer to Section 10.1, “Shutting
Down the System for Upgrading”, on page 10-1.
Caution
Resetting the database will require a manual reboot of the system and will cause a
loss of ALL system data, including enabled extension mailboxes and customized
system settings. A database reset returns your system to its initial raw state, as if you
had never performed any administration functions at all.
There is no way to retrieve system data lost due to a system reset.
Office PhoneMail will not prompt you with this menu choice.
50 is the number for resetting the database.
