LED cadences are defined using the following rules:
1.
A cadence is made up of a series of LED on/off transitions.
2.
A series always starts with a 3-second LED “off” state, followed by a 3-second “on” state.
This is referred to as the cadence start state.
3.
Following the cadence start state, a series always includes 1-9 LED “cadence count” tran-
sitions. The number of transitions determines the cadence number (1-9). A cadence count
transition is always a 0.5-second LED “on” state, followed by a 0.5-second “off” state.
4.
After the last cadence count transition, the entire series repeats.
For example, Cadence 4 looks like this:
