Each Siemens switch discussed in this section is capable of providing user access to interstate
providers of operator services through the use of equal access codes. Modifications by aggre-
gators to alter these capabilities is a violation of the Telephone Operator Consumer Services
Improvement Act of 1990 and Part 68 of the FCC Rules.
Electrical Safety Advisory
While each Siemens switch discussed in this section is fully compliant with FCC Rules and
Regulations, it is recommended that an alternating current (ac) surge arrestor of the form and
capability suitable for the model of the system purchased be installed in the ac outlet to which
the system is connected. Consult with your Siemens representative or distributor to determine
the surge protector requirements for your system.
