Positioning
INFORMATION
• Only positive values should be used for N2 and N4.
• If additional triggers are set during the current positioning procedure (rising edges
at IN 1), the relative distance multiplies by the number of trigger signals to an X-
fold relative distance.
In the DCAShell engineering software, you find the parameters required for positioning
operating mode in the "Parameter application" section on the "Positioning" tab. On de-
livery, each parameter has a predefined value for rapid startup. You can change the
values if they do not match your application. Before editing the values in the edit
boxes, read out the data of the drive by clicking the "Read" button. To transfer the
data to the motor, click the "Write" button.
In this operating mode, you can use analog
input
A1 instead of the fixed
speed
N4.
Refer to chapter "Parameterizing the analog setpoint".
The "Positioning" operating mode allows for a combination of speed control
(2
fixed
speeds N2 and N4/A1) and relative positioning. The relative distance is triggered by a
sensor signal or a control signal. The selection is made via control of the digital inputs.
Alternatively, use this operating mode to realize applications with
2
directions of rota-
tion and
2
fixed setpoints, as well as
2
different stop functions (freewheel and position
hold control).
In this operating mode, parameter KP_H must have a value of > 0.
