Operating modes
The compact extra-low voltage drive can be operated in the following 3 modes:
• Speed control
• Positioning
• Absolute positioning
Select the operating mode during the startup procedure using the DCAShell engineer-
ing software.
6.4.1
Setting the operating mode
Always use the DCAShell engineering software to set the required operating mode.
Changing between operating modes is only possible via software. Set the operating
mode in the "Parameter application" menu. Before editing the values in the edit boxes,
read out the data of the drive by clicking the "Read" button. To transfer the data to the
motor, click the "Write" button.
The currently set operating mode is indicated in the movement record line in the "Cur-
rent values" display in the left column of the software user interface. Meaning of the
movement records:
• Movement record 11: Speed control
• Movement record 31: Positioning
• Movement record 1110: Absolute positioning
