Mounting the screws onto the DCA63.. motor
INFORMATION
• When mounting, only use the bores on the output end of the motor housing.
• To that end, transfer the bores required for the centering collar of the motor and
the pitch circle of the mounting bores onto the mounting plate and drill (see follow-
ing drawing).
• Secure the drives to a flat surface by using at least 4 screws.
• Use appropriate measures to secure the screws and prevent them from coming
loose. A chemical thread locking compound, for example, is suitable here.
• Use thread-forming screws according to
DIN
7500 for mounting. SEW-
EURODRIVE recommends screw connections consisting of Taptite 2000
®
screws.
• From the 3 available hole circles, always choose the one with the largest diame-
ter. Sequence: M5 x 40, M4 x 49, M4 x 36.
• If you loosen and reconnect the screw connection, you can also use a standard
metric screw. In this case, replace the thread locking compound to ensure the
connection is as strong as it was previously.
• Adhere to the maximum tightening torques of the retaining screws according to
DIN 7500.
