Protection and monitoring functions
Integrated monitoring functions protect the compact extra-low voltage drive from per-
manent damage. In the event of an error, the drive is powered off automatically (=
freely rotates).
Scope of functions:
• Temperature monitoring of the output stage
• Undervoltage monitoring
• Overvoltage monitoring
• Overcurrent limitation
• Overload protection through I

Acknowledging an error condition
• As soon as the monitoring function of the drive detects an error, the output stage is
disabled and disconnected from the power supply.
• If drives are equipped with an optional brake, this is engaged and prevents the dis-
abled drive from rotating.
• If the drive is blocked by one of the monitoring functions with an error message,
you will need to acknowledge this message.
• You can only acknowledge error messages if the error status is no longer present.
Overtemperature errors, for example, can only be acknowledged after a cooling
phase.
• By default, parameter P06 is set to "manual acknowledgment". This acknowledg-
ment can be issued via control inputs IN A or IN B.
• In the event of an error, you will need to set both inputs
IN
A and
IN
B to "0". The
acknowledgment is then issued via a rising edge at one of the two inputs
(IN
A OR
IN B).
• The drive is ready for operation again no later than
10
ms after a successful ac-
knowledgment.
