10.1
Engineering adapter
As an optional accessory, SEW–EURODRIVE offers an engineering adapter (type
DCZ-048P-DBC-09), which is used for startup, parameterization and servicing the
drive. The engineering adapter is used as an intermediate adapter that is temporarily
connected between the drive and the customer's system.
• The engineering adapter has a sturdy plastic housing with an IP54 degree of pro-
tection.
• The housing is provided with protective insulation. The

V and
DC 48
V
power connections are insulated from the housing.
• Only connect the engineering adapter in a de-energized state. The connection is
pluggable and does not require any additional installation work.
• The RJ10 plug-in connection is connected to a normal commercial PC/laptop using
the USB11A or USM21A interface adapter.
• Use the DCAShell engineering software to perform startup and diagnostics.
