Description of the control signals
Reference travel (IN A on Pin 1 and IN B on Pin 2)
The drive is equipped with an incremental encoder, not an absolute encoder. As a re-
sult, a reference travel is required every time the
24
V control voltage is switched off or
on. This determines the reference position. All additional positioning processes will
refer to this reference value. The reference travel starts with the enable signal
IN A =
1. The speed and direction of rotation during the reference travel is determined
by the parameter "Homing speed" (positive/negative). The reference value is set in-
ternally as soon as a rising edge
(0 →
1) is detected at input
IN
B. The reference
value determined in relation to the edge is calculated from position 0 and the parame-
terized reference offset. If the offset is 0, the actual position receives the reference
value 0 in the event of a rising edge. After reaching the reference cam and setting the
reference position, the drive automatically switches to the positioning mode without
stopping.
Positioning mode (IN A on Pin 1)
The positioning mode is active when a reference value is set and when the signal at
input
IN
A is high
(IN A =
1). The activated setpoint position
(IN
1 and
IN
2) is ap-
proached in accordance with the set parameters for acceleration and speed. After
reaching the target position and/or the set position window, the position hold control
mode is activated. If the setpoint position changes, it is immediately accepted as the
new target position and approached. If the input
IN
A
(1 →
0) is deactivated, the drive
brakes at the set ramp. Upon reaching speed 0, the output stage is disabled. It is acti-
vated for drives with holding brake.
Position setpoints (IN 1 and IN 2 on Pin 3 and Pin 4)
Absolute positioning allows the definition of 4 different setpoint positions (table values:
P1, P2, P3, P4). The individual table values are activated via 2 binary coded inputs.
