When Roll Media Hangs Down and Makes Contact with the Floor
Cause
Solution
• Media has not been set firmly to the roll
holder on the rear of the machine.
• Heavy media such as tarpaulin has
been used.
• If the amount to roll is large, the media
may not be rolled depending on its
type.
• Release the lever that secures the right roll
holder. Lock the lever while the roll core is firmly
pressed into the holder. The roll core should be
pushed until it makes contact with both sides of
the holder.
• Check that the left and right of the media is not
misaligned or the media is not loose, before
setting the media correctly. For details about
setting media, see page 50 "Setting Media".
• Remove the roll media, and then reattach it.
The correct media has not been selected on
the media selection screen.
Select the media that was set on the machine. For
example, if media with the printing surface rolled on
the inside is set, select [Roll (Inner winding of print
side)].
The inner part of the roll media spool is
chipped, causing the roll media to slip.
Replace the roll media spool.
