To set the Gateway miscellaneous parameters
1. In
the
Default Gatekeeper IP
text box, type the IP address of the gatekeeper you want
the Gateway to register with. If you are using the internal Gatekeeper, the IP address is
the same as that of the Gateway.
2. In
the
Gatekeeper Port
text box, type the appropriate port number. If you are using
the internal Gatekeeper leave it at 1719.
3. In
the
Default Router IP
text box enter the IP address of the default router, if one is
being used. Otherwise, leave it empty.
4. Edit
the
IVR Operator
number if necessary. Otherwise, make sure to register the
endpoint you want to set as the IVR operator with the default phone number: 1111. For
information on registering endpoints, see “H.323 Endpoint Registration” in Chapter 2,
“Overview
.

5. If the Gateway has a transcoding card, select a priority transcoding method.
6. Click
Next
. The LAN Port Settings screen is displayed.
When using the Gateway internal IVR service, proceed to “Setting LAN Port Parameters,”
page 5-21. Otherwise, follow the steps below to define an external IVR service.

To define an external IVR service for the Gateway
1. In the Miscellaneous Parameters screen, type the IP address of the endpoint running
the IVR service in the
External IVR IP
text box.
2. In
the
External IVR Port
text box, type 1620. This is the port the Gateway uses to
communicate with the external IVR.
3. Click
Next,
to edit other Gateway configuration screens or
Finish
, to load the
parameters to the Gateway.
