Edit these services, delete them or add more services, according to your network needs. We
recommend using these services unless your endpoint phone numbers begin with the same
numeric string; in this case, redefine prefixes that conflict with the endpoint numbers.
If you do not need to make any changes to the services in the Services Definition Table,

and proceed to “Setting WAN Port Parameters,” page 5-26.
Services Definition Table Parameters
The upper area of the Services Definition Table screen contains these read-only parameters:
Number of Entries
– displays the number of services defined for the Gateway. When you
add or delete a service, this counter updates automatically.
Max Entries
– displays the maximum number of services that can be defined. The
maximum number is 50.
The main area of the Services Definition Table displays the following information about
each service:
Entry –
displays the number of the service in the table.
Description
– this is the description of the service.
Prefix
– this is the identifying string for the service. A service prefix is an identifier string
composed of up to 31 characters. Valid characters are 0 through 9 and pound (#), asterisk
(*) or comma (,).
Call Type
– displays whether the call is a voice-only (Voice) or data call (H.320).
Max. Bit
– displays the maximum bit rate per channel of a call defined by this service.
Supported values are 64 Kbps, 128 Kbps, 256 Kbps, 384 Kbps and 768 Kbps.
Restr. Mode
– displays whether the call defined by this service is restricted (
n
x 56 Kbps
instead of
n
x 64 Kbps) .
The buttons in the Services Definition Table screen allow you to add a new service and edit
or delete an existing service.
