7-7
Example:
5645000
<Wait for the IVR to respond>
5561 #
Where 5645000 is one of the Gateway phone numbers, 5561 is the number of the requested
endpoint, and # is required by the IVR mechanism.
Dialing Indirectly through an Operator
If you do not know the destination endpoint phone number, the IVR allows you to reach an
operator. Any endpoint on the LAN can be defined as an operator.
#"
To dial indirectly to an endpoint on the LAN through an operator
1. Dial one of the Gateway phone numbers. When IVR is enabled, you will be answered
by a recorded message prompting you to enter the destination endpoint phone number.
2. Dial * (asterisk) or wait without dialing anything for the call to be forwarded to an IVR
operator.
Example:
5645000
dial * or take no action
Where 5645000 is one of the Gateway phone numbers and * is optional.
Dialing to a Service Terminal
You can dial to an endpoint within a defined group of terminals. You are not dialing to a
specific terminal but to a group of terminals that provide a service.
1. Dial one of the Gateway phone numbers.
2. When the IVR system answers the call, dial the service number supported by the
definition group. The call is routed to the first available terminal of the definition
group.
Example:
5645000
<Wait for IVR to respond>
98#
Where 5645000 is one of the Gateway phone numbers, 98 is the service number supported
by the definition group, and # is required by the IVR mechanism.
