Defining Gatekeeper Services
You define Gatekeeper services in the Services Definition Table screen. You also use this
screen to load default service files or service files you saved for other unit configurations.
The internal Gatekeeper in the L2W-323 Gateway has five default Gateway services and
four built-in services, only one of which is defined. If you use these services, you do not
have to change any of the default Gateway service settings. We recommend you use these
services, unless your LAN endpoint phone numbers begin with the same numeric string as
the default services; in this case, change the service prefixes to avoid conflicts.
The following table describes the default Gatekeeper services for the L2W-323 Gateway:

Note: The prefixes used for V.35 services are the same as those used for bonded BRI
services. In addition, you can define services not defined by default; see “Defining
Gatekeeper Built-in Services” in Chapter 6, “Advanced Gatekeeper Configuration.”
If the default Gatekeeper services change, you can reload the default services file, as
follows:
