Prefix
field enter the prefix for this service. The prefix can be up to 31
characters long. Valid characters are 0 through 9 and pound (#), asterisk (*) and
comma (,).
5. Specify the availability of the service. If you want all endpoints to use it select the
Public
and the
Default
boxes. If you want only predefined endpoints to use it, select
the
Public
box. For more information, see “Service Access Control
” in Chapter 2,
“Overview.”
6. Notify users that this service has been defined and is available.
Service Access Control
In the basic configuration we made all services available to all endpoints by defining them
as both
Public
and
Default
. This allows all endpoints to access the network services. You
can narrow this accessibility and distinguish between services by changing the service status
to either
Public
or
Default
. Review your service accessibility in light of the table below:
