Extend the trim line as shown to the
part’s TE. Trim the bellypan just outside
these trim lines (about 1/16”-1/8”) –
once the belly pan is attached with
magnets you can further trim the edges
as desired – especially adjacent to the
flaps to eliminate interference. Leave
the pan’s LE and TE untrimmed for now.
3. Reposition the belly pan on the wing.
Press down firmly and tape in place –
again making sure the edges are
against the wing’s LE. Mark a trim line
extending forward from the wing LE as
shown below.
Draw a trim line at the TE about 1”
behind the wing saddle. Cut along
these finish trim lines. Leave the pan’s
LE untrimmed.
4. Mark on the fuse and wing the
locations for the magnets that will retain
the belly pan. Alternatively, you could
use screws instead of magnets,
however, the magnets are, by far, more
user friendly and quite strong.
We recommend four sets along the LE,
(two of the four sets shown below).
Two sets at the middle’s edges (one set
per side).
Two or three sets at the TE. Note: the
wing’s fixed TE (bottom surface) will
