center of its dorsal fin’s LE should be
about 1/8” to the left of the centerline.
Trace the edges of the dorsal fin to mark
where to rough up the mating surfaces.
4. Sand the fuse and the dorsal fin
where they will contact with each other.
5. Tape the LE in position against the
fin and fuse. Tilt the fuse so that no CA
can run onto the fuse. Apply CA with an
applicator tip to the lower edge of the
dorsal fin first, beginning at the back,
then CA the top edge against the fin.
Trim the dorsal fin’s TE, along with the
TE of the turtle deck (if needed) even
with the TE of the fin skins.
Trimming the cockpits:
1. Draw trim lines around the openings
of each cockpit. You want have some of
the top skin over hang the sides of the
cockpits (about 1/8”).
2. Using a cut-off wheel to rough trim
the top skin near the cut lines will make
finish trimming along the cut lines with
scissors easier.

Louvers:
1. Draw alignment lines on the louvers
by using a straight edge held against the
top and bottom of the set of louvers,
back off the straight edge slightly so you
can mark the lines (two long lines shown
below).
2. Draw base trim lines at the bottom of
each louver – you will be able to run
your pen at the base of the louver in its
crease. Flip the louver over and draw
trim lines at the top of each louver,
again finding the crease.
