Here are a few pictures of details we
have mentioned earlier in the manual or
components that we provide you with.
Below are pieces to the tail skid. Draw
their shape from reference photos. We
used thick gauge plastic (.040”-.060”).
Since this unit is functional, you should
build it durable. Make two while you’re
at is so you can have a spare if needed.
CA the pieces together then, screw the
unit down into the ply base – do not glue
it. The dashed lines on the support
pieces below are fold lines.
Below are molded pieces for the
fuselage grab handles and the scoop
fairings that go on the fuse and the wing
bottom.
Each fairing bulge makes two fairings.
Rough up the mating surfaces of these
details and use a Scotch Brite® pad on
the fuse/wing. If you have not already
done so, remove any remaining
protective film from the skins.
The handles should be trimmed to
provide the 3D effect. This can be
enhanced by gluing one end first, then
when cured, glue the other end so that
