1. Raise the cantilever holder.
l
Rotate the Engage Control knob on the Cypher clock-
wise and hold it until the cantilever holder is far from
the sample or is at its upper limit of travel.
If you turn the knob counterclockwise you will
lower the cantilever holder, risking collision with the
sample and damage to the scanner.
l
For safety reasons we recommend making motor
moves with the door closed. Beware of pinch points.
2. Lift the door latch and open the enclosure door.
3. Unlock the scanner by lifting the lever to the right of the scanner.
4. Pull the scanner forward.
l
Pull the scanner forward gently and stop when it is
about halfway out.
l
If you continue pulling the scanner, at some point
you will feel resistance and should pull no further.
