3. Power off the ARC2.

Turn the ARC2 off before proceeding.
l
Press the button as shown and verify the green light
is off.
Note:
The light behind the display on the scanner
front remains on because it uses a different power
supply. It is safe to unplug the scanner with this
power supply active.
4. Unlock the scanner by lifting the lever to the right of the scanner.
5. Begin to pull the scanner out.
l
Pull the scanner out about halfway.
l
Clear a place to set the scanner down after you
remove it.
Tip:
We recommend you first place the scanner
right in front of the AFM system, and then grip the
scanner again to move it elsewhere.
If the scanner is dropped it might become irre-
parably damaged.
