Configure a local scan destination
Introduction
The first template is dedicated to scan to local destination (Smart Inbox).
The other scan templates can be configured either for local destination or remote destination.
NOTE
Before you can edit a setting or a settings group, you must log on as System administrator or
Power user.
Configure the [Scan destination 1: Local to the Smart Inbox]
Procedure
1.
The [Scan destination 1: Local to the Smart Inbox] is dedicated to scan to Smart Inbox. Click on
[Edit] to edit the 'Scan destination 1' group of settings.
2.
Set the name of the destination. This name will be displayed on the scanner panel (Smart Inbox
by default)
The field for the name of the scan destination cannot be empty.
3.
Define the name of the scanned files.
The file extension depends on the scanned file type that you select when you start your scan job
on the user panel.
'###' stands for a number that will be displayed at the end of the name. An ascending number
replaces the "###".
4.
Enter the start value for the '###' number (if you enter 001, the first scanned file is named
scan001.*)
5.
Click [Ok] to confirm your entries or [Cancel] to reject your entries.
Configure the other scan templates for scan to local destination
Procedure
1.
Click [Configuration] - [Scan destinations].
2.
Click [Edit] in a [Scan destinations] title bar.
3.
Enter a name for the destination.
This name will appear on the user panel.
4.
Place a check mark in the enabled box.
5.
Select the local scan destination type:

[Smart Inbox for scans]
When you select this scan destination your scanned files are sent to the [Scans] Inbox.
6.
Enter a file name for your scanned files.
The file extension depends on the scanned file type that you select when you start your scan job
on the user panel.
If you enter a generic name, for example: scan###.*, the scanned files automatically get a unique
file name. An ascending number replaces the "###".
7.
Enter a start value for ###. If you enter 001, the first scanned file is named scan001.*.
8.
Click [Ok] to confirm your entries or [Cancel] to reject your entries.
