Memory card slot
After a new memory card has been plugged and the storage has been enabled
in the programming menu, the NivuSonic CO will prompt a >Format card< re-
quest.

Card formatting request
Card formatting is going to be executed in the menu I/O – Memory Card – For-
mat card (see also Chapter 8.6.5)
Due to the card’s technically restricted number of storage cycles (approx.
100.000 writing events), the NivuSonic CO does not constantly save upcoming
data on card but only each full hour. This interval is pre-set by the internal sys-
tem time (exceptions: in case of very high data density and if a data volume of
approximately 3000 - 4000 Byte has been cumulated data will be saved on card
as well).
The data will be saved in a special NIVUS format. The name is „Name of meas-
urement place set“.TXT<. This file can be read and processed either using Excel
spreadsheet application or by using >NivuDat32< bzw. NivuSoft l which is re-
markably more convenient and comfortable.
(see also Chapter 8.5.8)
Never format memory cards on PC but always on NivuSonic CO. The Nivu-
Sonic CO is not capable of using formats created by PC and therefore does
not accept the cards formatted on PC.
Data will be saved as mean values averaged over the memory interval set, not
as current values at the moment of saving.
