Set a fixed IP address as described.
It is possible to use a dynamic address. However the master then is forced to
recall the protocol (Request) by using the same name.
Verify the IP address by triggering the master to send a PING.
The Ethernet interface has been properly set and initialised as soon as a re-
sponse from the unit has been received within the pre-determined period.
Set the master’s port to the port entered in the unit (standard 502). Make sure
that the port has been unlocked at the master or set the port at the unit to an un-
used port under
PAR > Communication > Modbus > Port
. Contact your re-
sponsible system administrator if required.
