PC GUI
‘CP Aux’ Connector
The FFCP has a DB15 connector to which you connect the optional TLA. See
Transition Lever
Arm
on page 148.
Ground Lug
Connect the ground lug, using 8–14 AWG copper wire to earth ground. (This is a safety measure
and is not required for the control panel to operate.)
PC GUI
The old GUI (a.k.a. PC GUI) is a software control panel that runs on a PC connected to the master
control network. It emulates the functions of the FFCP. Its menu section emulates the touchscreen
menu of the FFCP. The GUI can be operated either with a mouse on any PC or by finger pressure
on a touchscreen PC.
S
The GUI window is 1244×931 pixels and requires a monitor at least that size to function. (The
GUI window cannot be resized.)
Arrayed on the front of the panel are 83 color-coded buttons and a menu with 4 associated up/down
arrow pairs. The arrow pairs emulate the 4 menu knobs of the FFCP. Each button has 2 lines of text,
4 characters per line. Active buttons are either “light green,” “green,” “amber,” or “red” and off,
low-tally, or high-tally. Buttons that are unused are just grey. Red generally indicates an error con-
dition. Buttons that are defined, but disabled momentarily, show dimmed text.
