4. MCPMs

Overview

MCPM-SDHD

The MCPM-SDHD is a 3-slot module. It processes either HD or SD video, as a field-programma-
ble option. It provides all the features of an SD or HD process and these two extensions:

• It has an internal black/silence generator for use as a program or preset main source, or as a

squeeze background.

• It provides enhanced squeezeback. Enhanced squeezeback can manipulate 2 squeezeback video

sources and an audio source for the second video image.
(The second video source is a main source. The squeezeback audio is from that main source and
is accessible when the panel operator selects the squeeze audio as an audio over.)

Figure 4-5 shows the MCPM-SDHD:

The MCPM-SDHD receives video and audio input from the frame’s motherboard

up to 64 video

sources on inputs 1–64 and 64 stereo (128 mono) sources on inputs 65–128, or a combination
thereof, in multiples of 16 sources. Video sources may contain embedded audio. The MCPM-
SDHD provide 3 video keyers, 2 logo keyers, 1

enhanced

squeezeback layer, and 2 audio overs. It

accepts optional Dolby E decoders.
