A. Special Features
Intuition XG
Choose Xplay > Tools > Configure Automation.
For channel A (“program” in MasterConfig) the TCP port must be 5006.
If it exists, channel B (which corresponds to “preset” in MasterConfig) must be 5007.
6 Recall IDs
Customers define XG keys (clips, animations, etc.) using Xmedia creative software such as
Xbuilder or Xstudio. Although they keys have names, master control identifies the different
keys by their
recall IDs
which are assigned in the Xmedia software. A master control panel
(configured for Intuition XG and controlling an MCE configured for Intuition XG) will load
thumbnail images for use in the ‘Int XG’ menu according to Xplay’s asset list. (The ‘XG
Select’ menu displays the key names and also the key categories.)
The master control panel recognizes only recall IDs that are numerical and in the range 1 to
65535. In Xbuilder or Xstudio, you can use alphanumeric recall IDs, but master control does
not recognize these. The panel will load the thumbnails of all Xplay assets, but the panel opera-
tor cannot choose an Int XG “key layer” that has an unrecognizable ID. The panel beeps when
the operator makes such an attempt.
S
Panel operators should be aware that a beep means an unavailable Intuition XG keyer layer.
(This is the only instance of audible feedback in the panels.)
S
Legacy M2100 automation protocols must restrict recall IDs to the range 1–255 (a single
byte).
Recall IDs must not be blank or zero.
Recall IDs must not have leading zeroes.
Recall IDs must not contain characters other than 0–9. Hexadecimal digits, alphabetic charac-
ters, punctuation, and underbars are not allowed.
Any XG clip that has a recall ID that violates these conditions is inaccessible to master control.
A control panel produces a notification beep if an operator attempts to access such a clip.
NV5100MC Configuration
Configuration of the Master Control system for Intuition XG occurs in two parts: one is in Master-
Config and the other is in the MCS Panel Configuration Editor.
Please refer to those manuals for more detail.
