PC GUI
Figure 6-3 identifies the sections of the GUI:

The PC on which the GUI runs must be set up to operate on the master control network.
GUI Buttons
The buttons are large and appear in 4 colors (grey, light-green, green, amber, and red) and 3 bright-
ness levels: off, low-tally, and high-tally. They are dynamically re-legendable, displaying 2 lines of
text, 4 characters each. (The text might be blank.)
The buttons allow you to choose sources, options, video effects, and audio functions.
Some buttons are
toggles
. Pressing a deselected toggle button will cause it to become selected.
Pressing a selected toggle button will make it deselected.
Some groups of buttons operate as a mutually exclusive set. Pressing a deselected button will cause
it to become selected and all other buttons in the set to become deselected. There are two types of
mutually exclusive buttons:
1 Pressing a selected button makes it deselected. (All other buttons in the set remain deselected.)
2 Pressing a selected button leaves the button selected.
The GUI has a central system of menu buttons. It is through the menu that you can adjust operating
parameters such as audio levels and keyer settings. If an MCPM configuration permits, the operator
may not only select keyer settings, but modify them.
The GUI’s “Transition” button is large and at the lower right.
