Warning:
There are high voltages present throughout the mass spectrometer.
Extreme caution should be taken when taking measurements with a meter or an
oscilloscope. In the standby mode (
Operate
not selected) the high voltages are
switched off in the source and analyser assemblies, but high DC voltages and
mains voltages remain in the power supply units.
Caution:
Quattro Ultima’s electronic systems contain complex and extremely
sensitive components. Any fault finding procedures should be carried out only
by Micromass engineers.
