Removing the Probe
After a session of APcI operation:
Turn off the LC flow.
Set
APcI Probe Temp
to 20°C
.
Deselect
.
When the probe temperature falls below 100°C:
Select
Gas

Gas
to turn off the nitrogen.
Undo the two thumb nuts and remove the probe from the source.
Warning:
Take care when removing the APcI probe. There is a risk of burns to
the operator.
Caution:
Removal of the APcI probe when hot shortens the life of the probe
heater.
If the instrument is not to be used for a long period of time reduce
Source Temp
to 60°C.
