Windows 95 Peer Printing
Windows 95 Peer Printing allows Windows 95 workstations to print to
NC-2 printers.
The main features of the Windows 95 Peer Printing are as follows:
•
Runs on Windows 95 workstation out of the box.
•
Runs on networks which have no NetWare file server.
•
Implements peer-to-peer bidirectional printing between
Windows 95 workstations and NC-2 printers.
•
Setup is easy. Users can configure network printers the same way
they configure printers directly attached to their workstations.
Installation and Operation
Install the Windows 95 Peer Printing print driver as follows:
1. Insert the diskette containing the print driver in your A: or B: drive.
2. From the Windows 95 main window, click on Start.
3. Click on Run.
4. From the Run screen, select the Setup file from the diskette that you
placed in your A: or B: drive.
5. Click on OK.
6. At the PeerToPeer Setup screen, click on Next.
If setup detects a previous installation of the PeerToPeer Driver, it will
prompt you to have Setup delete the old driver and continue the installation
procedure.
7. At this prompt, click on Yes or No.
To use a NC-2 printer, use the Add Printer Wizard in the Windows 95
Printers folder. NC-2-95 printers will appear as local printers.
