Diagnostics / ...Maintenance control
Preset Maint. cycle
Used to set the maintenance interval (0 to 9999 hours).
The corresponding “Maintenance interval is reached.
Perform maintenance.” error message is output after the maintenance interval has elapsed. By choosing the “0” setting, the
maintenance interval function is deactivated.
Maint. Remain. Time
Used to indicate the time of the maintenance interval that remains until the “Maintenance interval is reached.
Perform maintenance.” error message is issued.
Start New Cycle
Used to reset the maintenance interval. The maintenance interval is being reset to the value configured under “Preset Maint.
cycle”.
Diagnostics / ...Diagnosis Control
...Empty Pipe Detector
Used to select the “...Empty Pipe Detector” submenu with
.
...Noise Check
Used to select the “...Noise Check” submenu with
.
...Fingerprints
Used to select the “...Fingerprints” submenu with
.
Diagnosis Interval
Used to set the interval for the individual diagnostic activities.
The “Empty Pipe Detector” function is being executed according to the selected interval (e. g. every 5 seconds).
Default setting: 5s.
Diagnostics / ...Diagnosis Control / ...Empty Pipe Detector
Empty Pipe Detector
Used to activate the “Empty Pipe Detector” function (only for nominal diameters
≥
DN 10).
A completely full measuring tube is essential for an accurate measurement. The “Empty Pipe Detection” function is used to
detect an empty meter tube.
In the case of an alarm, the current output assumes the status that was configured in the “Input/Output / ...Curr.Out 31 / 32 /
Curr. at EPD Alarm” menu, and the pulse output is stopped.
Default setting: Off
Adjust EP
The empty pipe detection function should be aligned with the local conditions. The switching threshold is set during the
automatic adjustment.
Used to start the automatic adjustment of the empty pipe detection function.
Manual Adjust EP F.
Used to manually adjust the empty pipe detection function.
The value should be modified so that the frequency for the empty pipe detection function (Detector EP Value) is close to
2000 Hz.
Note
Prior to starting the (manual / automatic) adjustment process, make sure that:
• There is no flow through the sensor (close all valves, shut-off devices, etc.).
• The sensor is filled completely with the medium being measured.
Threshold
Used to set the switching threshold for empty pipe detection.
The switching threshold is set automatically during automatic adjustment. Manual fine adjustment is possible by changing the
switching threshold.
Detector EP Value
Used to display the frequency for the empty pipe detection function. If the current value is above the set switching threshold, a
message is shown on the LCD display and the alarm at the digital output is activated, if this has been configured accordingly.
