Modifying a QoS Profile
You can modify the default profiles as desired. To modify the
parameters of an existing QoS profile, use the following command:
config qosprofile <qosprofile> {minbw <percent>}
{maxbw <percent>} {priority <level>} {buffer
<percent>}
Applications and Types of QoS
Different types of applications have different QoS requirements.
General guidelines by traffic type are given below. These are
intended as guidelines and not strict recommendations. Once
parameters are set, you should monitor both the hardware queues
using the QoS Monitor tool, and monitor the performance of the
application to determine if the actual behavior of the applications
matches the desired behavior. It is very important to understand the
needs and behavior of the particular applications you wish to protect
or limit. Behavior aspects to understand include bandwidth needs,
