Section 4 — Menus Overview
position of the center of the oval signifies offset in the Cb and Cr directions.
For example, an increase in Cb offset moves the entire oval to the right.
Labeled cross-hair graticules identify the Cb and Cr graph axes. A unity
gain circle graticule is shown as a dotted line.
Hue rotation is indicated with a straight radial line from the center of the
oval. The angle of this line is the hue rotation angle, and it is referenced to
the horizontal right zero angle.
Increasing the hue angle rotates the radial trace counterclockwise. A dot at
the end of the hue rotation radial line provides a visual reference to the Cb
and Cr offset. When offset is added, the center of the oval goes off center,
which can be easily seen when comparing the dot to the Cb and Cr axes.
Cr and Cb offsets can be used to correct black level color balance errors of
a camera.
