The FTP mechanism only permits file transfers between different drives.
For example, a folder of Still Store items on the Still Store hard drive cannot
be copied from one location on that drive to a different location on that
same drive. However, the folder can be copied from the Still Store hard
drive to, say, a Zip drive. Once on the other drive, it could then be copied
back to a different location on the Still Store drive. Because only one hard
disk can be accessed at a time through the File Operations menu, files also
canto be copied directly between the Still Store and the Video Frame hard
drives, but may be copied in two steps as described above.
File Operations File Copy
Each Still Store still or clip actually consists of two files, one for video/key
data (.gvi extension) other for meta data (.gva extension). The actual pair of
file names for a particular item, e.g. Still 100, are I0000100.gvi and
I0000100.gva. Both files are necessary for proper display by the Still Store,
so these files always need to be managed in pairs. If one file is copied or
deleted, for example, its pair must also be copied or deleted.
To Copy Still Store Items:
