Still Store Operations
3. Use the navigation controls to go to the folder containing the items to
be copied.
4. Open the folder, touch
Multi-Select
so it is enabled, then touch the pair of
files for the item to be copied. You must select both the .gvi and the .gva
extension files for a complete copy of that item.

. A lower pane will appear.
6. Navigate to a destination on a different drive in the lower pane, using
the lower navigation controls.
7. Touch Paste. The Menu system will not be usable during the transfer
process.
8. If you will not be using the original images, you can delete them from
the Still Store to free up disk space and avoid confusion that may result
from the existence of duplicate files.
Still Store File Renaming
Still Store files can be renamed in the File Operations menu, though this is
not recommended. If you decide to change file names, the following rules
must be followed:
• The image and metadata files must retain the same base file name.
• Only one pair of files with the same base file name should appear in any
directory.
• The base file name format must not be altered (Ixxxxxxx.gvi or
Ixxxxxxx.gva). The only change allowed is to edit the number to make
the files unique. Valid numeric values are 0000001 through 002000.
File Operations Folder Copy
You can copy an existing folder that contains Still Store images to another
drive. If you use a folder management technique that limits the number of
Still Store items in any one folder, the copy can be performed relatively
quickly. However, if you have filled the DEFAULT directory with hundreds
of stills, the copy process may take considerable time. During the transfer
process the Zodiak menu cannot be used. You will also need to ensure there
is enough space on the destination drive to receive the files. A completely
full DEFAULT directory of 2000 stills will not fit onto a single Zip disk, for
example.
If you know you will be transferring Still Store items at the time they are
captured or recorded, you can create a new folder and save the items to it.
Then you will be able to transfer only these items by copying the folder.
