Still Store Operations
When folders are changed, Still Store material may become inaccessible or
the wrong material may be loaded if items with the same names are saved
to different folders. One way to eliminate this potential problem is to use
only the DEFAULT Still Store folder, and this simple approach may meet all
your needs. However, if you use multiple Still Store folders you must be
sure you are accessing the correct folder before performing these opera-
tions.
To Change the Current Still Store Folder:
1.
Touch the path data pad below the scrolling selection window in either
the Playback or Create Edit Still Store menu.
2.
Use the navigation controls to go to the desired folder, then touch it so
it is highlighted.
3.
Touch
Use Selected
. The highlighted folder will now be used for Still
Store load and save operations.
If you must change folders during a production to acquire specific items,
you should load the new items to Still Store outputs so they are cached,
then immediately return to the original folder. The new cached items will
remain available for use.
Folder Creation
Only folders in the Still Store hard drive C:User directory can be used
directly by the Zodiak Still Store to save and load Still Store items. The Still
Store hard drive is accessible from the Still Store folder browser and from
the File Operations menu.
To Create a New Still Store Folder from a Still Store Menu:
1.
Touch
Still Store
to go to the Still Store menu, and access either the
Playback
or
Create Edit
menu.
2.
Touch the path data pad below the scrolling selection window to open
the Still Store folder browser.
3.
Touch
Create Folder
and enter a unique folder name.
Folders can also be created on the Still Store hard drive from the File Oper-
ations menu, following standard operating procedures.
Important Folder and File Management Information
If you save Still Store material into multiple Still Store folders, you will
need to manage this practice. Storing randomly numbered Still Store items
in arbitrarily named folders can lead to the loss of access to material or the
presentation the wrong material, at perhaps the worst possible time.
