Still Store Operations
E-MEM Clip Playback
Each time a Still Store
Start at KF
trigger command is encountered in an
effect, the clip is cued and plays from that cue point. You must make sure
effect keyframes that follow the initial start trigger within the duration of
the clip do not have
Start at KF
on, or the clip will be recued. Clips cannot be
played backwards or paused.
If you want to create an effect that cues and plays a clip when an EMEM
register is recalled, you can turn the
Start at KF
button on and then learn a
new E-MEM register. This puts the trigger on the first keyframe of the
effect. As with all E-MEM Still Store operations, the item will need to be
cached in advance for proper playback.
Still Store File Transfers
The Zodiak Still Store saves and loads images only to and from the C:User
directory on the Still Store hard drive. This drive is separate from the hard
drive used by the Zodiak Menu panel, and separate from the Video Pro-
cessor hard drive located on the Control module in the Video Frame.
The Zodiak Menu application runs on the Menu panel hard drive. This
application uses standard Windows file management mechanisms to
access and transfer data to and from the Menu panel hard drive, Zip,
CD-ROM, and mapped network drives. However, the Menu application
uses the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) mechanism to interact with the Still
Store hard disk (using the Still Store Folder Browser menu), and to interact
with the Video Frame hard disk (using the various File Operations menus).
Note that in Release 5.0 the Still Store Folder Browser cannot access the
Video Frame hard disk. The File Operations menu can access either the Still
Store hard disk or the Frame hard disk, but can only access one of these
drives at a time (
).
