on the upper area of the screen. The ship can reach the point with shortest dis-
tance and time by following the drawn line. The quick point “QP<001” is saved to
the waypoint list.
Note 1:
The older quick point will be deleted after a new one is registered.
Note 2:
When this equipment receives the longitude and latitude information from
connected navigational equipment, the information of QP<001 will be updated.
How to set the quick route
Note:
The following procedures can be operated only when the setting of [ROUTE SE-
LECT] is set as [IN].
1. Press the
MENU
key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ROUTES/WAYPOINTS], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [SET GOTO METHOD], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [100 POINTS], then press the
left button
. (Refer to "How to select the set-
ting method of quick points" on page 5-38).
5. Press the
CURSOR ON/OFF
key if the cursor is not shown.
6. Press the
GO TO
key.
[CREATE QUICK ROUTE] window appears at the bottom side of display unit.
7. Move the cursor to the existing waypoint or new waypoint, then press the
left but-
ton
twice.
The name and symbol of selected waypoint will change to yellow. The point will
be named as a quick point “QP<001”.
8. Repeat the step 4 to complete the route.
The selected waypoints will be connected with a yellow line. A maximum of 100
waypoints can be registered. Press
CANCEL
key to delete the most recently add-
ed waypoint.

The shortest course from own ship to the first
waypoint of the quick route: light blue line
Own ship mark
Time toward the target (TTG, variable from menu),
Bearing and distance from own ship to target.
