4.2.2 How to activate the AIS target within specified range
When an AIS target approach the area around own ship, the target symbol can be ac-
tivated automatically.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTING], then press the
left
button .
3. Select [TT/AIS ALERT], then press the left but-
ton .
4. Select [AIS AUTO ACTIVATION], then press
the left button .
5. Select [ON], then press the left button .
6. Rotate the scrollwheel to select the range re-
quired, then press the left button .
7. Close the menu.
4.2.3 How to limit the AIS auto activate
function
You can limit the function of the AIS auto activate
function by ship's speed.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the
left button .
3. Select [TT/AIS ALERT], then press the left button .
4. Select [IGNORE MOORED SHIPS], then press the left button .
5. Select [ON], then press the left button .
The cursor moves to [SPD FOR MOORED] line.
6. Rotate the scrollwheel to set the value, then press the left button .
7. Close the menu.
4.3 How to Sleep AIS Targets
If there are too many AIS targets on the screen you may wish to remove unnecessary
ones. You can “sleep” an AIS target as below when the screen becomes filled with tar-
gets, which might prevent important radar and AIS displays from being identified.
Note: Targets that have been activated automatically and dangerous targets cannot
be “slept”.
1. Press the CURSOR ON/OFF key, if the cursor is not shown.
2. Move the cursor onto the target to be slept, then press the CANCEL key.
